Over 30 Years of Service

Health Information Alliance, Inc.

Health Information Alliance, Inc., was founded in 1992. Headquartered in Pennsylvania, with offices in Florida, and serves clients throughout the country. In 1989, the State of Pennsylvania passed a law – The Pennsylvania Health Care Cost Containment Act. This law required all inpatient hospitals in the state with more than 100 beds to report certain key clinical findings relative to the severity of illness and cost, therefore initially looking at outcomes and cost for 32 disease groups. HIA quickly became the largest provider of these services. Upon the onset of Core Measures, being based on very similar data, HIA became a go-to resource. With a huge background in Cardiovascular, Surgical, Medical, Stroke, Trauma, and Cancer, among many other specialties, HIA moved into the various Registries in these areas. HIA is still a valued resource for the first hospital in the nation, as well as very large prestigious teaching hospitals, very small community hospitals, and so many in-between. Clients include specialty heart, orthopedic facilities, to rehab, behavior health and long-term care facilities.
HIA understands the entire revenue cycle and as a result, puts HIA in a unique position to understand its clients’ needs throughout departments and resolve issues to ensure the most robust data, whether it involves a registry, core measures, or coding. In short, HIA delivers the most efficient services to optimize quality and decrease cost as we are positioned to understand performance improvement, and its impact on reimbursement and the overall health of our client’s patient population.
